PSAC study reveals $65-billion industry employing 800,000

Most folks who live in Alberta know that the oil and gas industry creates a lot of jobs. Whether it’s seismic, construction, drilling, completion, tie-in, facilities or pipelines, the oilpatch is characterized by people and equipment in motion. The agricultural community is a regular participant through activities on their land, jobs during the winter, direct equipment ownership or operating an oil service company.

Trust and the truth make for strong, healthy relationships

judy_winterJudy Winter has been a landowner and agricultural producer for 35 years. A grandmother of eight, Judy is a retired substitute teacher. Her involvement with the synergy movement began in 2000 and she is member of the Butte Action Committee and the West Central Stakeholders, synergy groups based in the Rocky/Caroline area. Judy is also a director on the Synergy Alberta board of directors and brings a rural community viewpoint.
