Energy Resources Conservation Board
Alberta’s Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) regulates the development of the province’s energy resources. Approval from the ERCB is required before any energy project in the province can proceed. In addition to its regulatory function, the board also protects the public interest in matters of resource development by helping resolve disputes and hosting public hearings into specific energy applications.
